MFG-02 · FDM and SLA 3D printing

3D printing in El Salvador: filament and resin

Got a spare part nobody sells anymore, a prototype to validate, or an idea you want to hold in your hands? We print FDM and SLA resin in San Salvador, and help you pick the right material for how the part will actually be used.

  • Rapid prototyping to validate before series production.
  • Replacement parts and tooling you can no longer source.
  • SLA resin for fine detail; FDM for structural parts.

Enclosures for refrigeration controllers

Problem
A supermarket chain in the country ran its refrigeration equipment on controllers whose original enclosures were damaged — and the manufacturer no longer offers the spare. The equipment works; what was falling apart was its body. Replacing entire controllers over a broken enclosure was not a reasonable option.
Build
We scanned an original enclosure with a 3D scanner, repaired the model digitally, and printed corrected replicas in ABS. Fifteen units, at roughly three days of printing per piece.
Result
All fifteen enclosures are installed and the controllers remain in operation. The spare part the manufacturer no longer makes now exists again.

Frequently asked questions

SEC. 02 / FAQ

What people ask us before requesting a quote.

What's the difference between filament and resin printing?

Filament (FDM) is ideal for functional and larger parts; resin (SLA) captures fine detail for molds, miniatures and precision pieces. If you're not sure which you need, tell us what the part is for and we'll recommend one.

Can I send my own file?

Yes: STL or STEP work directly. If you don't have a file, we can also model the part from measurements, photos or the physical piece.

Can you reproduce a spare part that's no longer available?

Yes — it's one of the most common jobs we do. We measure the original part (even if it's broken), model it, and print it in the right material for its use.

How strong are printed parts?

It depends on the material and how the part is printed. For parts under load we use materials like PETG or ABS and tune the infill and orientation; we'll advise you based on the actual use.

How much does printing a part cost?

Price depends on size, material and print time. Send us the file or the measurements over WhatsApp and we'll quote within 24–48 hours.

Got a drawing in your head?

Tell us what you want to build — physical, digital or both. We reply within 24–48 hours with next steps.
